Trashy Tuesday

Trash at the curb, albeit after 7:00 am.  Kinnick and I placed the containers at the curb around 7:10.  Kinnick was my lookout.  In order to lessen our exposure to the Solid Waste Police, we sprinted out and back.  I think we made it okay but I'm not certain.  As we were heading back to the garage, a car came up the street slowly.  It could have been the SWP(Solid Waste Police) but can't be certain since I didn't want to appear to obvious.  I guess time will tell.  Our good friend LW has proffered a new method of delivering my trash containers to the curb.  Having studied it, it looks promising but I won't try it until next week.  There could be some side-affects with the technique that I am not quite ready to take on this week.  More on that at a later date.

Jenny, the snow bunny elder, graced us with her morning commute phone call from the mile high city.  It's always nice to have a relaxed conversation with her.  The Denver clan took her out for supper last night for her birthday. She had a great time with them and enjoyed the evening very much.  She is traveling tomorrow back to Iowa.  We will probably do a supper when she gets home.  It will be her birthday after all.  I haven't said anything to Kinnick about her coming home yet but I think he suspects that something is up. Should be a great reunion for them.

Debbie, the Paula Dean wanna-be, has been busy in the kitchen.  Shoot she even hooked up with a bunch of co-workers last weekend for a day-long cookie bake fest.  I understand a good time was had by all.  Rumor has it that the sisters will be preparing cookies and most of all FUDGE on Friday.  Yum!!!! She had a meeting last night so the pugs were deposited here for a couple of hours.  Kinnick was a good host but it seemed as the pugs only wanted to sleep on my lap.  Good time was had by all, I guess.

I am definitely ready for a week long feast starting Christmas Eve.  This will depend upon how my new trash delivery method works out.  After church on Christmas Eve, we all get together for a chili supper and fixings.  We open our stocking stuffers afterwards.  The grand-dogs love this.  It is hard for me to wait for the food.  I have been at the gym 5 days a week for a year, sweating like crazy just so that I can recover all of the weight I have lost in a week.  Isn't that why we work-out anyway?

Hoisting my cup of French Roast up in the air, may everyone have a very Merry Christmas, New Year and all of the best for 2011.   Take a moment as you sip your coffee to give thanks for all we have, our family, and our friends.   TA!!!
