GOOOOOOOOD MORNING America!
I was off longer than expected but I have found my way back. Thanks to everyone for their patience.
Today I am announcing my new website - DABailey.com. My website gives me the ability to host multiple blogs plus makes it easier to add other types of content. It also allows me to deliver the blog via email in a more automatic fashion. I say this with fingers crossed. The home page contains a blurb about "Trashy Tuesday" which you are all accustomed to. You can click on the title or picture and go to the blog itself. I also have listed "The Doggie Spa". Not much there yet but I wanted to split off the fitness center theme on its own. The home page also has a form at the bottom you can fill out if you want to subscribe to an email copy of the blog that you are not currently receiving. You may also leave a comment if you wish about the website. Each blog page also has a comment area as well. Should wish to not receive the email any longer, please leave me a comment and we will get you unsubscribed.
Okay, down to business. You may remember that Tuesday is my day for garbage pickup and it must be at the curb no later than 7 am. I'm sorry but in the winter I just don't like to take it out in the dark. Who knows what is roaming around out there. Dutifully I donned my sweatpants, hooded sweatshirt, my Cousin Eddy hat and my LLBean boots. All was delivered by 6:59 am. On time and out of my hair. My neighbor had some problem with the Curby pickup driver last week. It seems her next door neighbor was getting new shingles installed. The company had its trucks parked there as you would expect. The neighbor had her trash containers placed at the curb as normal. Okay, here comes Mr. Curby pickup driver. He can't get close enough with the pick up arms so the poor thing parked his truck, got out walked about 20 feet, grabbed the Curby, and dumped it in the truck. That was nice of him but his nice only went that far. He left the container sitting in the STREET at the spot where he dumped it. Couldn't muster the energy to take it back where he found it I assume.
Well since we last met, the election got over finally. A friend sent me an email with instructions on how to relieve the stress of these times. You may get some pointers. I'm passing this on because it worked for me today. "A doctor on TV said that in order to have inner peace in our lives after this election season with all those ads & stress, we should always finish things that we start. Since we all could use more calm in our lives, I looked around my house to find things I'd started & hadn't finished. I finished a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiuminun scriptins, an a box a choclutz. Yu has no idr how fablus I feel rite now.
Sned this to all ur frenz who need inner piss. An telum u luvum."
Did you participate in the Black Friday that started on Thanksgiving, the Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday? Good for you. I personally, being a little off center, did my Cyber Monday ordering on Black Friday. I did the Small Business Saturday on Cyber Monday and forgot all about Black Friday altogether. I refuse to shop on a holiday and Thanksgiving was no different. I want my turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy and etc. plus football all day long. No interruptions, please.
My current wife, you remember her don't you? Her name is Sue. Well, she sutbly moved me to get our carpet replaced just before Thanksgiving. Many will remember how a leaky faucet in the bathroom led to a bathroom remodel. A 10 cent part cost me over $3,000. Well, with company coming for the holiday, I was persuaded to replace the carpet after 37 years. I pleaded that we wait because she wanted to paint the walls, put in a breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining room and also remodel the kitchen. In the end, logic took a back seat and the carpet was replaced. The aforementioned walls were just painted. The other stuff will just have to wait, if I can get away with it. There has been some grumbling the past few days that our chairs in the living room really do not match the carpet. Changing the subject a little, you know my hearing is really getting bad. I just don't hear a lot of things anymore.
With all of the projects happening this summer and fall, my workout schedule has fallen completely apart. Today I begin to get back into the routine. At least until tomorrow when I won't be able to move. Anyway, the current wife is hovering over my shoulder anxiously awaiting the post. I will need to rap this up soon. Rumor from the gym is that many of the Silver Sneakers participants and friends of ours may have to quit. It seems Humana had a nice benefit to this program and they are removing it. Part of the Obamacare reform, I guess. Hope it doesn't happen because we will surely miss their enthusiasm and fellowship.
The French Roast is now history and I must get my sneakers and workout gear on if I can find it. Until we meet again, don't let the Drivel get to you. TA!
