Thank you! Thank you! Yes, once again I have beaten the Sanitation Dept. at their game. Trash was at the curb at 6:57 am this morning. Yeah!
A friend of ours has left for Africa. Not certain how I feel about going to Africa. I requested a blow gun souvenir. May have trouble getting it on the plane though.
Pug sat last night. Pretty calm night actually. Barney and Max decided to fold their tents about 7:15 pm. Kind of early but I had Kinnick play “Chase” outside last night. He completed his chore and promptly went to bed.
Life at the club has settled into some type of pattern already. I would not have thought it possible. One major factor has been the departure of the Etavirp Canasta League ladies on a bus tour. Yep, they left from the club on Saturday morning bright and early – 9:00 am. They were really excited. I overheard some of the ladies talking about the schedule. Seems as though this is primarily a fall color tour to New England. Also on the schedule, as I understand it, are several casinos stops. Hey, bolt down the nickel slots. We will miss the ladies but hope they take their time and enjoy.
Not certain how I will react after the November elections. I will miss the phone calls at supper time. I will miss the politicians commercials running every 2 minutes. I will miss the news programs endless review of the latest polling data. What to do? Maybe winter reruns of the fall premiere TV shows. Which reminds me. Remember when the new fall season of TV shows kicked off 26 episodes for the year? Then it was 13 episodes. Now they film 4 episodes and start rerunning them. TV has really evolved hasn’t it.
Well, back for another cup of French Roast. Yep, I wrote this on only one cup. Hard to believe, I know. Kinnick is reminding me that it is time for him to take a constitutional outside. Better honor his request. Wait, wrong message. Seems as though he really wants to play. How do I know? Well, when he has a shoe in his mouth, tail wagging, and a mischievous look in his eyes, I think it is obvious. We chase around the house until I corner him. Then he meekly surrenders the object with a sad look in his eye. Now he is laying flat on the floor pouting. We need to talk. Have a great fall day!!! TA!
